Please note, in the event that ѿTV is unable to verify the information you provide to ѿTV, ѿTV may request additional information such as your driver’s license or another form of identification in order to complete the registration process.

If you donate via credit or debit card, ѿTV will also ask for your card number, expiration date, and other information necessary for ѿTV’s third party vendor to process the transaction. If you donate via check, ѿTV may ask for limited bank information.

    • Minors: ѿTV believes that protecting the privacy of children is especially important. ѿTV does not knowingly collect, use, or disclose sensitive information about anyone who is under 18 years of age except in special circumstances with parental consent (i.e. minors wanting to support ѿTV by registering for ѿTV’s signature Carry Forward® event or registering as a Student Ambassador, or other fundraising events (“Events”)).

When minors register for ѿTV Events (with parental consent), ѿTV will request identifiable information such as name, mailing address, and email address of the minor. Minors who may be registering for ѿTV’s signature Carry Forward® event will also need to provide a credit or debit card number, expiration date, and other information to register for the event with their parent’s or legal guardian’s permission.

Additionally, ѿTV may receive information regarding minors as ѿTV communicates regarding the Event after registration. When ѿTV receives information from you, your minor, or your minor’s legal guardian regarding the minor, ѿTV will continue to use industry-standard security measures, including encryption, firewalls, and physical security, to protect yours and the minor’s data.

      • Children under 13 years of age: Please note, ѿTV treats information about children under 13 with special care. Children under 13 are not allowed to register themselves as Student Ambassadors or for any other fundraising efforts. A parent or legal guardian must provide verifiable opt-in consent before ѿTV can collect or process any information for children under 13. Such opt-in consent is obtained when a parent or legal guardian registers a child for a ѿTV fundraising event. When a parent or legal guardian registers a child under 13, ѿTV will ask the parent or legal guardian for the child’s name and address. This information is collected for ѿTV to keep track of fundraising efforts and send the appropriate registration packets to registrants, if necessary.

Additionally, and subject to applicable state law, if you are registering a child under the age of 13 for Carry Forward® or a similar event, ѿTV will only communicate with you via the email address provided to provide communications about the event for which the child is registered.

Further, it is ѿTV’s policy to delete information about children under 13 approximately 30 days following the event for which they are registered.

        • Parental Choices and Controls:
At any time, parents can refuse to permit ѿTV to collect further personal information from their children in association with a particular event, and can request that ѿTV delete from ѿTV records the personal information ѿTV has collected.

Parents and legal guardians may request that ѿTV delete personal information regarding their children at any point by contacting ѿTV at 877.832.6997 or sending a detailed email requesting the same to privacy@woundedwarriorproject.org.

For more information about your choices and rights please see the section titled “Your Privacy Rights”.

    • Carry Forward® participants: When you register as a participant for a Carry Forward® virtual or city series event (“Carry Forward® event”) you will receive an email containing information on how to download and login to the Carry Forward® app. The Carry Forward® app is maintained and managed by a third-party vendor, currently Nuclavis, and can be used as a way to track and share your fundraising goals and progress before and throughout the Carry Forward® event. Use of the Carry Forward® app is completely voluntary and not considered a requirement for your participation in a Carry Forward® event.

Should you choose to download and use the Carry Forward® app, you have the option to sync your fitness tracking devices to earn activity reward points related to your participation. Once a fitness tracking device has been synced, the Carry Forward® app may access data from Apple Health, Android Health Connect, Garmin, Strava, and Fitbit to support fitness-related features. Such data is limited to fitness activity only—specifically, workout types and durations, steps, and distance, and is used solely to provide activity reward points related to your participation. Please note, ѿTV does not have access to any of your fitness data collected by the Carry Forward® app and Nuclavis does not access, store, or transmit personal health record information beyond the activity types as listed above.

Further, should you choose to use the Carry Forward® app, you retain full control over the connection to Android Health Connect and may choose to connect or disconnect at any time through the Activity Tracking screen in the Carry Forward® app.
